What is Youth.?
Youth. is a welcoming community of young people between the ages of 11 and 18 who gather together to hang out, have fun, and grow in faith. We aim to create a safe, supportive environment where everyone is accepted and can explore their beliefs, make friends, and build confidence.
Who can attend Youth.?
Youth. is open to all young people aged 11-18. Whether you are just exploring faith, new to faith, or have been on the faith journey for a while, you’re welcome to join!
When and where do the gatherings happen?
We meet every Thursday during term-time from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm at Penrallt Baptist Church. Our gatherings re-launch after the festive season on 15 January, 2025. Click here to view our Youth. events calendar for 2025-2026, this calendar is subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Do I need to register to attend?
Yes, a legal guardian must complete our registration form before you attend Youth. Click here to complete the form! Registration forms must be completed once each academic year and will only be held on file for the academic year in which they are completed. If you’d like us to remove your registration form and all of its personal data early, email us at hello@bangor.yfc.co.uk.
Is there a cost to attend?
Nope! We will have a tuck shop open with sweets that will be available to purchase.
What will Youth. be like?
Great question! We always start with a casual hangout as people arrive, this is a great time to catch up with friends, join in on a card game, work on a friendship bracelet, or maybe shoot some hoops or play pool. Once everyone is settled, we’ll jump into a big group game – think real-life Among Us, Nerf wars, trivia tournaments, or Werewolf. After games, we spend some time talking about faith, opening our Bibles, and exploring what God has to say about life, meaning, and purpose. Finally, we wrap up and get ready to go home, hopefully you’ll have met a new friend and feel a little more encouraged than when you arrived!
Will there be food and drinks?
Usually you can expect a light snack and drinks. We recommend you have eaten dinner before you arrive. If you have any major allergies or dietary restrictions, you’ll be able to let us know in the registration form.
What if I don’t know anyone coming?
No worries, everyone starts out new at some point! Our team of volunteers are here to help you settle in, and it’s a great place to make new friends.
Can I bring a friend?
Definitely! Just make sure that their legal guardian has completed the registration form before they arrive.
Is transportation provided?
We don’t provide transportation, but we’re always happy to help connect you with others in your area who might be interested in coordinating a carpool. Just get in touch!
How can I get involved or volunteer?
We’re always looking for folks who are willing to show up personally and predictably in the lives of young people! If you’d like to volunteer, follow the link here to register your interest.
